It's hard to believe it's already that time of year again…Back to School. But sure enough, this week started the "First Day of School" picture brigade on my Facebook page. And while most kids will be learning the basics (math, English, science, history, etc.), some will also be learning electrical trade skills.

First Look: EOY Nominees
There are only a couple of weeks left to get your nominations in for Electrician of the Year!
We've received hundreds of nominations already, but don't let that discourage you. It is still very much anyone's game.
What Makes a Good Candidate
The submissions are just pouring in for our Electrician of the Year search! We’ve been looking through the nominations as they’ve come in and we already have some really great candidates for our regional finalists. Of course, we’d love to see more, so I thought I’d take a moment to highlight some electricians I’ve read about who are excellent examples of what we are looking for in our Electrician of the Year.
4th of July Fun
One of my favorite holidays of the year is almost here...Independence Day! My family typically spends the long holiday weekend at our lake cabin – out on the boat, BBQ-ing, and (my favorite!) watching and shooting off fireworks!
Hopefully you were able to get Friday off of work to enjoy the long weekend, and you have some good 4th of July fun planned. I've taken the liberty of browsing Pinterest for some pretty cool patriotic DIY projects to tackle on your day off. (HINT: Some Klein tools may be required)
Tool Muzak
What do you get when you combine a long-nose pliers, a clamp meter, a tool backpack and two screwdrivers? ...a jobsite jam session!
Take a listen!
T&M Wearables
No matter how many hooks, clips or magnets we use, or how many pouches or bags we create, the chief complaint we still hear about meters and other test and measure equipment is: They are bulky and a pain to carry around the jobsite.
It’s a problem we were pondering awhile back in a product planning meeting. Our brainstorming session had stalled and in the silence of the conference room, all you could hear was the clock ticking and someone tapping a pencil on a pad of paper. And then I saw someone across the room glance down to check their watch…and it hit me: What if you could…
The History of Klein Tools
I wouldn't have classified History as one of my favorite subjects in school, but now that I'm a little older, I have become more and more fascinated by the events of the past, especially the historical journey of people, places, and things and how they came to be where they are today. In my opinion, Klein Tools has had a great historical journey.
Branded Blowout
In case you haven't noticed, we're having a ridiculously awesome sale on KleinConnection.com. That is where you can buy any official Klein branded items, plus you can get great deals on clearance tools and replacement parts.
What’s in a Bag
It’s been two weeks since that pesky groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter, and boy has he delivered. Bitter cold in the Midwest, snow and ice the south, and what can only be described as a malicious attack by Mother Nature on the east coast (you have our deepest sympathies, Boston).
Here at Klein, we decided we needed to do something to lift the spirits, warm the heart, and share some love (we did just celebrate Valentine’s Day after all). So, for the next week, we’re giving you a chance to win a brand-new Tradesman Pro™ Organizer tool bag!
Made in Space
Imagine getting all the way to outer space only to realize you left your socket wrench back on earth. Uh…Houston, we have a problem.
Thankfully, NASA says it now has a solution. Just recently, NASA beamed up a digital design of a ratcheting socket wrench to an innovative new orbiting 3D printer on the International Space Station. Four hours later the space station’s astronauts had a functioning wrench in hand!
